Introduction

These pages are written in English, which hopefully makes it easier for unknown "relatives" to to identify their ancestors. We do of course hope to come in contact with new members to a growing "family".

"Our" emigrants

In our list of emigrants we have "close" relatives and "not so close" relatives.

On our genealogy pages you can find Leif's and Barbro's ancestors starting with our grand-parents and moving backwards in time. For each family we try to follow all children and grand-children (i.e. two generations). You can also find two works which basically uses a person from the past (an ancestor of Barbro in both cases), and then moving forward in time, i.e. tracing all ancestors of that person to basically today
(which means 1000+ ancestors)!

This web page is structured as follows. First you find two tables ("close" and "not so close" realatives). In the tables you will find all emigrants we so far know about. Please note that the "Emigration date" we first enter is the date when the person left his or her's home parish. The entry date into the new country will be a completely different date obviously.

You can, as a step 2, find more details about the emigrants by following the link provided by clicking the person's name. Please note the we use "F" for father and "M" for mother.
FF=Father's father, or, grand-father.
MMM=Mother's mother's mother, or, great grand-mother.

Please note that we have emigrants from both Sweden and Finland in the list below.

The "earliest" time we have so far for an emigrant is the year 1853!
